One Year of Unsuccessful Blogging

Back in January 2009 we released this blog. Now its Jan 2010 I’m writing this post to share some interesting analytics data obtained from Google Analytics.

Total Blog Posts in 2009 = 90

Maximum pageviews (181) on 23rd Feb.

Maximum Unique Visitors per day (49), on 15th March and 9th Dec.

Total Unique Visits = 3737

Total Visits including returning visitors = 5768 on average of 16 visits / day.

Total Page impressions = 11803 on average of 32 impressions / day.

We did a lot of publicity, created a Facebook fan page, a Twitter account and published every blog post on our personal fb and twttr account. We used “All in one SEO” wordpress plugin to automatically submit new posts to all search engines. But none of this helped us in increasing site traffic.

Now, the most interesting thing I liked is, Firefox is on top among all other browser with 57.42% market share Next year I would like to see IE to be at bottom of the list.

Among Operating Systems Ms Windows is on top with 86.27% followed by Linux with 7.71% and Mac with 4.56 % Iphone Os and Symbian is also in the list with 9 and 6 visits respectively.

Around 50% traffic came from Pakistan followed by USA and India .

We do blogging just for fun, not for earning (like others bloggers do). We always write our own posts, never copy paste stuff . This year we’ve plans to do regular blogging and be successful.
