    February 5th, 2011 / 2 Comments » / by Faizan

BitTorrent Inc has released their official uTorrent Remote app to manage your Legal downloads directly from your Android device. This app has awesome interface and comes with lots of features. But in order to use it you must be running uTorrent 3.0 Alpha (Get it here) built on your pc, so it may refuse to work with some private legal trackers :) According to uTorrent’s Blog some of key features of this app are:

Check the status of a download directly from your Android Smartphone

Add, pause or remove µTorrent downloads on your computer

µTorrent remote registers as a .torrent handler so you can browse and add torrents just as if you were on your PC at home.

Start, pause or remove µTorrent downloads in progress on your computer

Update and add torrents from RSS subscriptions

Transfer, save and play any completed file from your PC right to your device.

    February 2nd, 2011 / No Comments » / by Faizan

Latitude Google has updated their Google Maps for Android app to version 5.1 with a major addition of location based service Google Latitude. If you already use location based service like Foursquare you should check this out because it offers some major advantages over its rivals like automatic check-ins/checkouts to the locations you want and notifying you about the place where you’re present. If you check-in at one location many times you will get ‘Regular’, ‘Vip’ and then ‘Guru’ status just like when you become mayor of some place in Foursquare.

However you can only share your current location on Google Buzz not on Twitter or Facebook. According to Google there are currently 10Million active latitude users and it may dominate currently popular check-in services in near future. Watch this promo video from Google and update your Google Maps from Android marketplace now to enjoy this awesome service.
