Home Decoration and Interior Design 2011
October 25th, 2010 / 17 Comments » / by AF8AB
Home is where the heart is – that is the basic concept underlying all home décor techniques. Your home is not just a brick-and-mortar “shelter”; it is a place for social animals to show off our personalities. From floors to ceilings, wall panels to tiles, furniture to carpets and color choices to lighting, every element speaks out who you are. Home décor is our way of portraying ourselves in our surroundings, a way of making our house, home.
Even cave men decorated their cave walls with murals about their life. But of course, home décor has gone much farther than abstract hieroglyphs on the walls. Today, home décor is “a multi-faceted profession in which creative and technical solutions are applied within a structure to achieve a built interior environment”. For last several years, designers have been experimenting with furniture that evolved after wars in the 1960s. Interior designers are now portraying “themes” in their designs. There are also designers who are combining themes from different eras together to create captivating ensembles.
This post showcases various interior design, furniture design and latest home décor trends by mainstream design companies from around the world.
At The Heart of The Image! – Nikon D5000 Review
August 22nd, 2010 / 7 Comments » / by Nabiha
When you buy a Nikon D5000, you don’t just invest money in a DSLR – you invest in experience. Photography is an art that requires patient and anxious waiting followed by spontaneous clicking. There’s no knowing whether you’ll get another chance to capture a magical moment. With so much pressure even before you release the shutter, boring and sad results can definitely dampen your spirits. This is where the Nikon D5000 stands out: it gives you stunning results with every click. So when you’re releasing the shutter, you’re not dreading, but excitedly waiting to see a breath-taking moment preserved in living memory!
Compared to ordinary digital cameras with their LCDs and/or electronic viewfinders the advantage is that there is no time lag in the image; it is always correct as it is being “updated” at the speed of light. This is important for action and/or sports photography, or any other situation where the subject or the camera is moving too quickly.

Katas is a complex of Hindu temples dedicated to lord shiva. There is a reference in Maha Baharat about a “Chashma-e-Alam”, which has been identified as the water pond of Katas popularly knows as Kataksha or Katak Shall. According to traditions, lord shiva on the death of his wife satti wept so bitterly that out of the strings of his tears two water ponds came into existence; one known as “puskar” near Ajmer in India and other called “Kataksha” at Katas in district Chakwal.
Katas Raj Constitutes a major group of hindu temples most of which were constructed during the reign of Hindu Shahiyas. The earliest temple at Katas Raj dates back to later half of 6th century A.D.
