Buying a Hi-End balanced Gaming PC
December 16th, 2009 / 10 Comments » / by AF8AB
Buying a performing, balanced but budget Gaming PC has always been a challenge. No matter its 2001 (wink) or 2009. Decent performing (40+fps) yet not mighty expensive hardware does comes with alot of research and a base price point. So, we did both and stepped out of home with time spent in research and Rs. 50,000 in our pocket for CH|LL’s new desktop system.
Here is some eye-candy I’ve shot for the creative readers. Review & benchmarks will be posted very soon.

Fixing Ignition Timing of my Sunny 120Y (DIY)
November 27th, 2009 / 2 Comments » / by Faizan
I’ve got this Nissan Sunny 120y 1974 (also knows as Datsun 120y). Few months back we converted it from Conventional Point Ignition System to Electronic Ignition System. We bought Electronic Distributor of another sunny for 1500 Rs from Bilal Gunj, but it cant be fitted with A12 engine, so all system from new distributor needed to be swapped in old one and was nicely done by Lathe Machine Operator. Mechanic fitted it and said everything was fine.
But the problem was, car had poor acceleration, low fuel average and difficulty in starting. We went to mechanic again and said everything is fine with ignition timing but Engine needed to be overhauled. we knew that engine was fine and problem was with ignition timing and mechanic is illiterate and he know nothing about technical details. So we came back did some research on Internet and decided to fix it ourself.
We diagnosed that distributor was set to full advanced and yet timings were retarded. In order to fix it distributor needed to be taken out, adjust the position of crank pulley and timing plate. Install distributor again.

After fixing ignition timing Car starts on First Self even in winter when engine is cold. Acceleration is much better
P.S. Do not try this at Home

Camera Quality Benchmark
January 1st, 2009 / 1 Comment » / by Faizan
Today we’d some spare time to compare camera quality of all cams we’ve. Actually this was to test camera quality of my LG KF510 that i got 2 days back. We compared it against DC-W50 in 3.15Mp mode (There is not any comparison between these two but that’s all we’ve). We didn’t miss this opportunity to test cam of Aftab’s new Nokia 5320Xm with my old Nokia 6120c both of them comes with 2.0MP cmos cam.
Test Equipment
- Cyber-shot® DSC-W50 Digi Cam 6MP .. ( used 3Mp mode for comparison with auto ISO and AF) (Aftab)
- LG KF510 3.15Megapixel Autofocus (Faizan)
- Nokia 5320 XpressMusic: 2.0 Megapixel (Aftab)
- Nokia 6120 Classic: 2.0 Megapixel (Faizan)

LxGamerz going Wi-Fi & More // Some Money Well Spent
November 2nd, 2008 / 1 Comment » / by AF8AB
Atlast we are now Wireless.
Cable Free Network with around half the performance of Cables and Double The Security.
Faizan was thinking about Wi-Fi(ing) for quite a long time.
What Wi-Fi brings us is a One Time setup with a couple of Θ grade settings.
Our next plan is to get Wi-Fi work over a 2 Street Distance. For that may be we will use Antennas and do this stuff without knocking on Neighbor Doors ( That’s What We Hate about Cables).
A4TECH iSecureFit Metallic Earphone
I bought these Headphones ( In Ear Buds ) For my new Music Phone. Because the bundled ones from Nokia SUCKED Like a banana seller in Street. These Buds have powerful Neodymium Magnetic Bass Driven Sound lOl. Got a couple of Ear sleeves ( if someone has alien ears ).
The Bottom Line. The best ear Phones for Only Rs. 500. The Sony/Apple/Yamaha Costs over Rs. 3000 Each & These are value for Money.
