An hourglass, sand glass or sand timer is an ancient device to measure time. It can be an hourly or a few minute timer. The origin of hourglass is unconfirmed but its believed that it was first created by a 8th-century monk named Luitprand.
This is a beautiful video directed by Philip Andelman. It shows process of manufacturing this old method of measuring time in a modern world when we have precise digital clocks and watches.

This is a very basic guide to set up WordPress on your localhost. I develop custom WordPress blogs / websites and sometimes I have to test themes. For that I need WordPress on my localhost so I don’t have to run ftp softwares like File’fuggin’Zilla and move files around all the time on web server. Anyway, here is what you need to do.
I’m assuming you have Wampserver and mySql database running on your computer. If you don’t, you can go ahead and download Wamp setup from here. Installation is easy, ask your grandma to install it for you. Run it after its installed. Now,
Step 1 – Get latest version of WordPress from here.
Step 2 – Extract the contents of downloaded Zip in your C:\wamp\www
Step 3 – Rename the folder wordpress to whatever you want i-e NewBlog

What more Apple can do to impress you. Don’t want to spend a $1000 on an iPhone 4G? Say hello to iPod Touch. Way cheaper than an iPhone with same hardware specs, iOS 4.2, dual cameras, Gyroscope, FaceTime, HD video player and being capable of running hundreds of amazing applications as smoothly. This is an iPhone minus the phone, half the size, half the weight, 1/4th the price and double the joy because for a phone you can use your old Nokia, talk for hours without killing all the battery. Candybar Nokias are awesome for phones and for everything else like WiFi, Browsing, Facebook, Twitter, Games, Music, Videos, Apps, ebooks; Use this brilliant piece of engineering.

Western Digital EARS Series – 1Tb WD10EARS Review Benchmark
November 6th, 2010 / 5 Comments » / by AF8AB
This is my second 1Tb hard drive, I purchased a Western Digital Caviar Green 1 Tera Byte internal hard disk. Model: WD10EARS – This drive comes with 64Mb Cache and is available in 1.5Tb WD15EARS & 2Tb WD20EARS models too. This is a comparatively slow hard disk as its engineered to be quiet, cool and power efficient.
I did a benchmark using HD TACH and HD Tune Pro to compare it with previous model of Caviar Green 1Tb hard drive that I have WD10EADS. This performs a little faster than old model because of the new 64MB Cache.
Read more for detailed benchmark and review.
