Razer Abyssus Mouse review
July 8th, 2010 / 7 Comments » / by AF8AB
After my Logitech MX310 died, I decided to go for an enthusiast class product, Luckily I had some bucks saved this month so… Razer! Only company where Gamers are Engineers and the way they name their products is MEGaLLANICALLY AWE S O M E.
I bought a Razer Abyssus. It is a lazer mouse with no optical red light sensor but a high precision 3.5G infrared sensor. It isn’t the most expensive one, but it has almost the best performance capabilities. It has no extra mouse buttons, just 3 of them. That’s simple!

DELL S2409w LCD Monitor Review and LCD Buying Advice
May 30th, 2010 / 6 Comments » / by AF8AB
Never buy anything without at least 2 weeks of thinking and many hours of research, THEY say! but don’t think too much or you’ll never be able to buy it.
This is a delayed review, I bought this monitor probably 5 months ago. I wanted to use it before I could write how good or bad it is. I was using a 60Ton branded 21” CRT monitor and I used to move that with help of at least two or more people. I might find a photo of my old CRT which I’ll be happy to show to anyone if requested.
Here is DELL S2409W 24” 1080p Full HD LCD Monitor.
Buying an LCD for me wasn’t very easy as I had to decide between Samsung and DELL. Samsung has the most pretty outlook and finish and DELL has quality and more built-in features. The two models, actually three; two of which were Samsung are listed after a Jump.
Corsair Voyager Mini USB Flash Drive
May 8th, 2010 / 6 Comments » / by Faizan
Today I bought Corsair Voyager Mini USB Flash Drive 4 GB. I was going to buy Flash Voyager but it was not available, s
o I end up buying this one. I am going to use it for playing mp3s in my ride on Kenwood KDC-MP543U Recevier.
Design & Usability:
If you’ve previously owned a Corsair product from the Voyager USB flash drive product line you’ll be immediately familiar with the rubberized look and feel of this drive. The Voyager Mini uses an all-rubber housing, just like the Flash Voyager, to protect the data placed on it against severe temperature, moisture, or physical abuse.
Western Digital Caviar Green 1Tb WD10EADS – Benchmark
December 17th, 2009 / 3 Comments » / by AF8AB
I recently bought a Western Digital Caviar Green 1Tb Hard Drive with 32Mb Cache [Model: WD10EADS] – Its a low power consuming hard drive. I got this specific model because The Caviar Black was more expensive and Seagate Barracuda is not a very reliable option (though fast). I am going to use it for normal Backup so I am good to go.
I used HD Tach and HD Tune Pro to benchmark this Hard Drive. I have also included test results of some other drives for comparison that include another WD 320Gb HDD, An 8Gb Corsair USB and a 320Gb laptop drive (Built by Toshiba) that came with my HP Pavilion dv6.
Operating at 37° C WD10EADS is cooler and silent than any other drive in 2009
It gave me very satisfactory and constant transfer rates ~60Mb/s and ~55Mb/s in transferring data over HDD to HDD and over 1Gb/s LAN respectively. Its around 80% used.
WD10EADS is the least power consuming HD ever built. Tomshardware Power requirement test results.
Idle Power Requirement: 2.91Watts
Power Requirement Video: 4.28Watts
Here are my benchmark Results.
Write speed going above 80Mb/s even though the drive is loaded with data = EXCELLENT! for an Eco Drive.
hp pavilion dv6t series Benchmark
April 26th, 2009 / 8 Comments » / by Faizan
It’s been around three weeks I got my first notebook that is hp pavilion dv6t-1045ee. Now I’ve got some time to test what this 100 Grand PKR notebook has got. I’ll be doing several benchmark tests to check how much performance boost (processing power) I’ve got and compare it with my 3.5 years old A64 3.2K+ Desktop and may be with my 7 years old P3 which is still in good operating condition ;p
Unfortunately laptop came preinstalled with everyone’s hated Windows Vista HomePrem so I’ve to live with it for now ignoring any performance loss although I’ve removed all bloated software’s that came preinstalled with it. All tests were performed on AC power with Windows Aero and unnecessary services turned Off.
Test Setup :p

Conclusion:
Overall applications performance as expected showed more than 2x performance boost as compared with my Athlon64 Desktop System. The HP dv6t meets my needs perfectly. It is an extremely well-rounded 16-inch multimedia notebook at a great price point. A beautiful design, superb input devices, a great screen, and good performance are the major highlights of this machine. I have no second thoughts about giving the dv6t my full recommendation.
