FaceNiff for Android – Hack Facebook, Twitter sessions in seconds

You may know about FireSheep, the Firefox extension that used to hijack Facebook, Twitter sessions of users connected to an unsecured Wi-Fi Network. With recent success of Android, some developer has taken same concept of FireSheep to next level by creating an Android app. FaceNiff lets you hijack Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and more social network’s sessions of users connected to same Wi-Fi network with a tap of a thumb. It even works with secured (WEP, WPA or WPA2) Wi-Fi networks. All you need is a rooted and compatible Android Phone. Free version lets you hijack only three accounts and you can donate to buy unlock code. With my HTC Desire running MIUI rom, I was able to hijack Facebook account of my neighbor who uses my Wi-Fi network.

Facebook For Android 1.5 – Chat & Push Notifications

Facebook has updated their android app with long awaited features like Chat and Push notifications. however notifications for comments, likes and wall posts are still missing. Here is what they said on their Facebook page.
Facebook for Android v1.5 now available in the Android marketplace. New features include Chat featuring background mode (you can receive chat messages while using other applications) and push notifications (get notified sooner).
Push notifications are only supported for devices on Android 2.2+. If you are not seeing push notifications, your device may not be supported.
This update is available in Android Marketplace.
Facebook for Android 1.3 Update

If you are using an Android phone,
you must be familiar with ugly Facebook app. But after a long time Facebook for Android app has been updated. If not better, it has come more closer to its iPhone counterpart.

The latest version of Facebook for Android is now available! The app has a number of notable new features, including: video playback, the ability to view and RSVP for events, respond to friend requests without leaving the app, and an updated home page. The new home page has a draggable notifications drawer, a photo reel for easy viewing of your friends’ photos and videos, and the ability to post a status update or search for friends with just one click.
If you already have Facebook for Android installed on your device, you’ll be prompted that the updated app is now available. Any Android device owner can download and install the latest version from the Android Market as well. Please let us know what you think about this latest version.
