I just watched this 1h Press Conference at GAMESPOTs (On Spot).
http://www.gamespot.com/shows/on-the-spot/?series=on-the-spot&event=on_the_spot20090324
Idea looks really revolutionary, but as it depends on the bandwidth, It will be a KILLER! Even If i have 10MBit it will not be unlimited. Normal costs are $70 per month for 12Gb Bandwidth in North America.
It has a few other discrepancies like not being able to play offline. And as its only available in North America . No idea how long its going to take over the world. May be some other companies will come along with their own ideas for practical implementations.

well, yes.. one point is clear, total consumption or wastage of bandwidth. also, i dont like teh idea of such tecn0 @1st place, who wanna pay gooballs @ 4mbit's cost+subscription cost+game buying cost.
and aswell, obviously, we cant be playing crysis without lags @ even 1280 with everything maxed on even a 2MBIT connexion.
its gonna be a flat flop... lets see. @least in 3rd world countries it is.

This sounds like a very good idea. But this means an end to Piracy.
& consistent network speed is a big issue. Still, it could be successful in Europe & US/Ca. In Pakistan i don't see it coming.
